About Me
Born in Portland, Oregon, I moved with my family to the San Joaquin Valley California when I was in fourth grade. I came to San Francisco in the early eighties to attend SF State University where I studied art and education and received a Bachelors degree in art and a Masters degree in Education. I taught art for the San Francisco Arts Commission and computer classes for the San Francisco Unified School District. I worked for fifteen years at Apple inc, then retired and now devote my time to making artworks.
About My Work
Over the years my work has evolved, sometimes taking radical turns. Early on I did portraiture and figurative works, as well as landscapes, and still life mostly in oils. I’ve worked in ceramics, assemblage, collage and photography. Recently I have settled into mixed media abstract works using acrylics and found objects.
