Iris Sabre
About Me
I am a plein air painter. I am an impressionist and a colorist. I work with oil paint outdoors on site. Using bold brush strokes and vivid color I work rapidly to render the natural world at a particular moment in time. I also paint people indoors from live models. I received a BA Degree in Art with a speciality in painting, and a credential to teach art at SF State University.
About My Work
I paint in oils on canvas. I do landscapes and seascapes working in alla prima in plein air. I work rapidly on a relatively large format. I also paint figures and portraits from live models.
